DESCRIPTION:John grew up in Maryland and is a classically trained guitarist with over 20 years of performance and teaching experience. Coming from a musical family\, John was exposed to a wide variety of music from a young age. Jazz\, classical\, folk\, and other styles were always playing in the background. At the age of 13\, he picked up a guitar and never looked back. Having influences like Paul Simon\, Bob Dylan\, and The Beatles\, he quickly gravitated to complex songs and the art of fingerstyle. He has studied privately with some of the great classical\, spanish\, and flamenco guitarists such as Marija Temo\, David Russell\, Paco Peña\, and Manuel Barruecos. \nHe enjoys playing and teaching many genres of guitar including Classical\, Spanish\, Flamenco\, Brazilian\, Folk\, Pop\, Rock\, and Reggae. \nHe performs extensively throughout the Baltimore and Washington DC area at breweries\, wineries\, weddings\, corporate\, and private events. \nExpect a laid-back acoustic rock\, beach vibe when he plays here at Lone Oak.
