DESCRIPTION:Round About is an original Washington\, DC-area pop/rock acoustic duo made up of Patrick Garrity and Aaron Lowenberger featuring sparkling guitar work and tasteful vocal harmony. Started in 2010 and spending over a decade as a four-piece rock band\, they became a duo permanently following the recording and release of their fourth studio album\, 2022’s Inner Voices & Curious Choices.\n \nPatrick Garrity (vocals\, rhythm guitar) has been writing songs and performing around the DC-area for over 20 years\, first in the funky rock band Otis Finch\, then the acoustic duo Broken Taillight before starting Round About. His music can sound typically “singer-songwriter” on the surface but is often tongue-in-cheek as well in its looks at life and relationships. His tunes and style have been likened to Fountains of Wayne (a high compliment)\, but he’s also a huge fan of The Beatles\, Billy Joel and The Jayhawks\, to name a few. \nAaron Lowenberger (lead guitar\, vocals) has been performing locally since the late-2000s\, initially with the Celeste Starchild Band\, and is also currently the lead guitarist for americana band The Walkaways. Since joining Round About in 2013\, Aaron has expanded his own songwriting as well\, contributing songs to each of their subsequent albums. His influences run the gamut from Jimi Hendrix and Tommy Emmanual to Miles Davis\, Kings X and Megadeth. \nRound About has performed at numerous area clubs\, wineries\, breweries\, festivals\, annual concert series and more. Their music has won multiple songwriting awards and been featured on various popular local music podcasts. Their earlier full band albums include Coming Into Focus (2018)\, The Best Laid Plans (2015)\, and Hanging By A Thread (2012).

SUMMARY:Live Music - Lauren and Paul
DESCRIPTION:Paul’s day job is an airline pilot and about 15 or years ago\, he flew to London with another pilot who brought a guitar. The other pilot said he was sitting in with a pub band later that night on their layover. As soon as he got back from that trip\, he bought a guitar\, started taking lessons\, and the rest is history. For the last three years he has been a part of a local band called TrainWreck. Since then\, he’s gained the confidence to perform as a soloist and as a part of duos and trios. His musical roots are Classic Rock\, Country and Blues but playing with other musicians has expanded his interest into other genres.\n\nLauren is a Singer-Songwriter born and raised in Frederick\, MD\, and was 10 years old when her mom taught her how to play her first guitar chords. She wrote her first song at age 11 for a sixth-grade book report and grew up in concert and marching bands throughout grade school\, playing Alto Saxaphone\, Marimba\, Xylophone\, and other various percussion instruments. She was also active on worship teams as a singer from youth through adulthood. Her guitar playing grew during COVID when two friends asked her if she could show them a few things. After 2 years of weekly get togethers\, Lauren started performing at open mics in late 2022 and has been blessed to be a part of the gig scene ever since. She plays a variety of covers and classic hits and enjoys writing songs with musical influence inspired by folk\, americana\, and as of late blues and jazz.\n\nLauren and Paul have been a duo for over two years playing mostly Maryland and a bit in Virginia.  They also have their own solo routines and play in different bands.  They share a love of acoustic classic rock\, country\, folk\, pop\, and ‘90’s.  Something for everyone!

DESCRIPTION:Joseph R Monasterial is a Singer-Songwriter and Acoustic Guitarist based in the Washington DC area.  He grew up in Montgomery County\, MD and started performing as a local musician since he was 16 years old. DESCRIPTION:Lauren grew up in Clarksburg\,MD. She began singing by mimicking the vocals of the blues records that her mother had around the house. Eva Cassidy and Aretha Franklin to name a couple. Lauren now brings in inspiration from pop heavy hitters such as Miley Cyrus\, Lady Gaga and her life-long obsession John Mayer.\n\nBryan Wolf grew up in Brookeville\, MD and started playing guitar at 13 years old. His main inspiration comes from classic and indie rock. The Beatles and Father John Misty are high on his favorites list.\n\nBlouses formed when the two members crossed paths on Bumble. Their first date was an open jam Bryan was hosting. Third date was a gig at Saint Micheal’s Annual Beer Fest. After that\, it was a no brainer if we were to become a couple a duo would spawn as well.\n\nBeing local means we get to see familiar faces and build a relationship with the audience that goes deeper. Even allows us to reconnect with local friends we may have lost contact with!

DESCRIPTION:Noah Teague Booz hails from Montgomery County\, MD\, born to Diane Teague and Miche Booz. His musical journey began in his single digits with piano lessons\, later transitioning to the guitar at the age of 12 to play in a band with friends. Noah’s folk-rock trio\, Honey Stone\, won a DMV-wide battle of the bands at the 9:30 Club during his senior year of high school\, which lead to recording opportunities at Cue Recording Studios where the band produced their debut album. That lead Noah to study jazz at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland. After graduating\, Noah stepped away from the music industry\, but continued to work on his craft. In October 2021\, Noah launched his first solo project under the moniker “yesah” while living in Los Angeles. However\, his return to Maryland in May 2022 prompted a rebranding under his given name\, Noah Teague Booz. Now he writes\, engineers and produces all his own music out of his home studio\, often in collaboration with other artists. He also teaches guitar and banjo to all ages. Drawing from influences ranging from folk and jazz to blues and bluegrass\, Noah’s music embodies a captivating blend of singer-songwriter composition with virtuosic improvisation. Through his love of storyteller and wordplay his lyricism signals to the deep currents of our shared humanity that channel beneath the surface of our unique life experiences.

DESCRIPTION:Adam Forbes is a guitarist and singer/songwriter based in Washington\, DC. He has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old when he received his first guitar for Christmas. In addition to doing solo acoustic performances\, he also is the lead guitarist and singer in local DC band Sidewalk Soul. He frequently performs at venues in DC\, Maryland and Virginia\, as well as in other parts of the county. His styles and influences include a wide range of performers including Pete Townshend\, Neil Young\, Joni Mitchell\, Gordon Lightfoot\, Jimi Hendrix\, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder (amongst many\, many others). His style blends baritone vocals with both aggressive strumming and meticulous finger picking.

DESCRIPTION:Vince and Chris grew up in Silver Spring and played in a Classic Rock band in our college years\, including Top 40 plus the Allman Brothers\, Yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer among others. We later played in a Soul Band which covered songs by Chicago\, Tower of Power and Blood Sweat and Tears.\nWe’ve played together as Take Two for twelve years and really enjoy the musical challenges of performing as a duo. DESCRIPTION:We always say that One Step Down is the one silver lining from COVID….\nJoe grew up in NJ\, and became fascinated with the electric guitar after hearing the Venture’s Walk\nDon’t Run and Pipeline. His first band\, The 007s\, played songs by artists such as The Monkees and\nThe Searchers. The music from 1968-1972 (Led Zeppelin\, Grand Funk\, Black Sabbath) helped shape\nJoe’s style. After moving to Bel Air\, he played in several local bands – I95\, Circle of Fire\, and Tainted\nSouls.\nKaren grew up in Elkridge\, MD. Although she had no vocal training\, she enjoyed singing along to\nStevie Nicks\, Wynonna Judd and Tanya Tucker. She started her musical career when her dad bought a\nset of drums and decided to start a band. Over the years\, Karen played in several local bands–\nCrossfire\, Flashpoint\, and finally Wasted Gravity\, always with her dad on the drums.\nIn 2013\, Joe answered an ad for a lead guitarist and auditioned for Wasted Gravity\, and that’s when\nKaren and Joe started playing music together. When COVID hit\, the music scene shut down. The\nvision changed and Joe swapped out his electric guitar for an acoustic guitar. One Step Down played\nits first gig in October 2020. We love playing all genres of music\, but songs by Fleetwood Mac/Stevie\nNicks are some of the favorites

In 2012\, he moved to Maryland and has been performing at the amazing local breweries\, wineries\, bars\, and restaurants around the DMV ever since. In addition to his love of the 90s\, he also plays a wide variety of all your favorite classic rock\, 80s\, top 40\, and country tunes. Eric is a big fan of the local DMV music scene and also enjoys collaborating with and learning new styles from other musicians in his free time. When he’s not performing as a solo acoustic artist\, he also rocks out as the guitarist and lead vocalist in the band Broken Ground.

SUMMARY:Live Music - Noah "Red" Hawes
DESCRIPTION:Noah “Red” Hawes is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter out of Brunswick\, Maryland. Music has been a part of his life from a young age\, and over the years his influences have culminated in the music he writes and performs today. After growing up on music from the 60s and 70s classic rock his parents would play on the radio\, he expanded into 90s hard rock\, alt/indie rock\, as well as progressive rock. Red’s musical palette is extensive\, compiling mental notes of every ear-catching element he can find. After studying classical guitar in college\, he developed a unique acoustic style that combines as much of each musical element in a song onto one instrument\, including melody\, accompaniment\, and percussion. His solo show incorporates these elements into acoustic arrangements of 60s to present rock and pop songs from popular bands like Simon and Garfunkel\, the Foo Fighters\, and the Chainsmokers.

DESCRIPTION:Born and raised in PG County and an alum of UMD\, Joey Fitz got his first musical influences early from his parents\, who met performing in college ensembles and remain big fans of Folk\, Rock\, and Classical music. The stage at Lone Oak provides an exciting opportunity to perform for many of his friends and colleagues for the first time at a local Olney venue. With primary influences from Bruce Springsteen\, Tom Petty\, and Van Morrison\, Joey brings a wide variety of classic rock\, country and Irish pub acoustic music to Lone Oak Brewing Co.

SUMMARY:Live Music - Blues in the Rain
DESCRIPTION:Jim grew up in Annapolis\, Maryland. He loved the Piedmont blues music that came out of the Virginia countryside. His earliest influence was Phil Wiggins\, the harmonica player in the acoustic blues duo Cephas and Wiggins. A couple of years ago he met Alessandro Ponti\, a semifinalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis\, Tennessee. He now performs with Alessandro in the acoustic band Blues in the Rain\, along with Liam O’Connor on vocals and guitar and Elisa Carbone on keyboard.\n\nOriginally from Buffalo\, NY\, Liam O’Connor cut his teeth playing punk rock and reggae bass on the Boston club scene. After moving to the mid-Atlantic region\, he began delving into rural blues guitar playing\, especially in the finger-picking Piedmont style. A seasoned performer\, he brings a wide repertoire of blues\, rock and Americana songs (and even the odd reggae tune) to his shows.

DESCRIPTION:Noah Teague Booz hails from Montgomery County\, MD\, born to Diane Teague and Miche Booz. His musical journey began in his single digits with piano lessons\, later transitioning to the guitar at the age of 12 to play in a band with friends. Noah’s folk-rock trio\, Honey Stone\, won a DMV-wide battle of the bands at the 9:30 Club during his senior year of high school\, which lead to recording opportunities at Cue Recording Studios where the band produced their debut album. That lead Noah to study jazz at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland. After graduating\, Noah stepped away from the music industry\, but continued to work on his craft. In October 2021\, Noah launched his first solo project under the moniker “yesah” while living in Los Angeles. However\, his return to Maryland in May 2022 prompted a rebranding under his given name\, Noah Teague Booz. Now he writes\, engineers and produces all his own music out of his home studio\, often in collaboration with other artists. He also teaches guitar and banjo to all ages. Drawing from influences ranging from folk and jazz to blues and bluegrass\, Noah’s music embodies a captivating blend of singer-songwriter composition with virtuosic improvisation. Through his love of storyteller and wordplay his lyricism signals to the deep currents of our shared humanity that channel beneath the surface of our unique life experiences.

DESCRIPTION:Round About is an original Washington\, DC-area pop/rock acoustic duo made up of Patrick Garrity and Aaron Lowenberger featuring sparkling guitar work and tasteful vocal harmony. Started in 2010 and spending over a decade as a four-piece rock band\, they became a duo permanently following the recording and release of their fourth studio album\, 2022’s Inner Voices & Curious Choices.\n \nPatrick Garrity (vocals\, rhythm guitar) has been writing songs and performing around the DC-area for over 20 years\, first in the funky rock band Otis Finch\, then the acoustic duo Broken Taillight before starting Round About. His music can sound typically “singer-songwriter” on the surface but is often tongue-in-cheek as well in its looks at life and relationships. His tunes and style have been likened to Fountains of Wayne (a high compliment)\, but he’s also a huge fan of The Beatles\, Billy Joel and The Jayhawks\, to name a few. \nAaron Lowenberger (lead guitar\, vocals) has been performing locally since the late-2000s\, initially with the Celeste Starchild Band\, and is also currently the lead guitarist for americana band The Walkaways. Since joining Round About in 2013\, Aaron has expanded his own songwriting as well\, contributing songs to each of their subsequent albums. His influences run the gamut from Jimi Hendrix and Tommy Emmanual to Miles Davis\, Kings X and Megadeth. \nRound About has performed at numerous area clubs\, wineries\, breweries\, festivals\, annual concert series and more. Their music has won multiple songwriting awards and been featured on various popular local music podcasts. Their earlier full band albums include Coming Into Focus (2018)\, The Best Laid Plans (2015)\, and Hanging By A Thread (2012).

DESCRIPTION:Dr. Dave Koronet is a singer-songwriter who plays an eclectic acoustic mix of original songs and covers\, some rather obscure and some familiar\, served up with a dollop of humor. Dave has been playing in central Maryland for over a decade but has performed as far away as Arizona and New York. Music has been part of his life since his parents put his crib by the stereo as an infant. A resident of Mount Airy for over 30 years\, Dave is originally from New Jersey\, and says he is only one of a couple of chiropractors who have played the legendary CBGB in New York. He is also currently the president of the Frederick Acoustic Music Enterprise (F.A.M.E.)\, a local non-profit.

DESCRIPTION:I was born in DC and moved to Rockville when I was 10. I have lived in MoCo my whole life other than 4 years out of state for college. Being local means supporting the burgundy and gold\, good times and bad times. And we are finally experiencing the good times.  I am very proud of the talent that has come out of Montgomery County in politics\, sports and the arts. For instance\, I was good friends with Darren Star growing up.  I got back into music 11 years ago sitting in with a friend’s band. That is why I always try to pay it forward by letting others sit in with me. As a vocalist\, I was first impressed with the harmonies of the Beach Boys and CSN and the raw talent of singers like Elvis\, Roy Orbison\, Ray Charles\, James Brown and Otis Redding. With my band InToneNation I always like to finish with the song I think kicked off rock and roll\, Johnny B Goode. \nThe other Dave grew up in NJ where he played in bands growing up. He moved to DC a few decades ago and retired from working at the VA. He was a member with me in the band InToneNation for about 5 years. We always harmonized well together so Pair O’Daves came naturally. \n
