DESCRIPTION:Dr. Dave Koronet is a singer-songwriter who plays an eclectic acoustic mix of original songs and covers\, some rather obscure and some familiar\, served up with a dollop of humor. Dave has been playing in central Maryland for over a decade but has performed as far away as Arizona and New York. Music has been part of his life since his parents put his crib by the stereo as an infant. A resident of Mount Airy for over 30 years\, Dave is originally from New Jersey\, and says he is only one of a couple of chiropractors who have played the legendary CBGB in New York. DESCRIPTION:Susanna Laird is a singer-songwriter\, guitarist and pianist from Frederick Maryland.  She has been performing most of her life as a singer\, pianist and choir member in a variety of settings while also raising her kids\, homeschooling and teaching music lessons. Recently she has been focusing on songwriting and performing as a solo singer/guitarist. Her music is deeply influenced by gospel musicians like Andre Crouch and Mavis Staples as well as folk music like the Indigo Girls and Tracy Chapman and blues music like Bonnie Raitt. Her favorite songs to sing are “Midnight Train to Georgia”\, “Country Roads” and “Closer to Fine.”  Performing throughout the Mid-Atlantic region has given Susanna a deep appreciation for the cultural connection people here have to their communities as well as to the forests\, creeks\, mountains\, bay and ocean.  She loves to honor the local culture by playing music that resonates with people who call this beautiful area home. \n

DESCRIPTION:Billy has been a lifelong musician starting at age 6 with private instruction and continuing into adulthood. Some highlights of his career are being in a band that toured the large festivals circuit and that he was a 5-time semifinalist at the International Blues Competition in Memphis\, Tennessee. Along the way\, he shared the stage as an opener for the likes of Joe Bonamassa\, Delbert McClinton\, Indigineous\, and Bo Diddley to name a few. Eventually he settled down and began playing in cover bands on lead guitar and drums before scaling back even more to do solo acoustic shows. These days he is joined by his wife Kimberly (Berl) on percussion and vocals to create an upbeat\, family friendly\, diverse show proven to please all crowds.

DESCRIPTION:O’McPub Band is a Maryland based Irish folk duo that specializes in pub tunes\, rebel songs\, and Celtic inspired folk/rock/pop music. The charismatic pair is known around the Mid-Atlantic as “probably the best guitar and bodhrán Irish duo in the DMV”. We are eager to share our love of Irish culture through music and have continuously grown our repertoire of pub tunes\, rebel anthems and Celtic-infused pop melodies.   What started out as a few rebel songs in Ryan’s living room during a party led to a few local open mics and eventually our first paid gig scheduled Friday\, March 13\, 2020\, which got cancelled the night before due to the pandemic. We kept at it and almost 1 year later we played that rescheduled show and haven’t stopped since. Our name explains a lot of what motivates us as musicians. In the Gaelic languages “O'” signifies ‘descendant of’ and ‘Mc’ signifies ‘son of.’ It’s a nod to our lineage – we are the bearers of a heritage that has thrived through generations\, despite the many obstacles and hardships that attempted to end its existence. Our Irish roots\, deeply entwined with music\, art\, literature\, food\, drink\, and the spirited ‘craic\,’ have been entrusted to us by those who came before. Our music serves as a vessel\, a heartfelt tribute to these traditions. Each song we play carries within it the echoes of age-old tales and the souls who’ve shared them. “The Pub\,” the heart and soul of Irish life\, symbolizes community\, togetherness\, and the spirit of shared experiences. In the warmth of these public houses\, stories unravel\, history is rewritten\, wisdom is exchanged\, and laughter is abundant. Our goal\, wherever we play\, is to conjure the spirit of ‘the pub’ – a community of people gathered to embrace life and one another. Join us as we carry this legacy forward\, one note at a time.

Simonian has also been honored with multiple grants and visionary sponsorships from benefactors who believe in her artistic vision\, supporting her latest musical theatre project\, When Two of Us Meet\, which early reviewers in the theatre community have hailed as ‘a Broadway-worthy stage musical.’ When she isn’t writing or performing\, Emily and her husband\, Jake\, maintain strong ties to Simonian’s home state of California\, frequently spending time there with family and friends.

DESCRIPTION:Gary Maragos grew up in Maryland\, and while he hasn’t lived in Olney since he was a kid\, he remains loyal to the burgundy and gold.  His love for music started with The Beatles and The Kinks\, and he counts Squeeze\, Elvis Costello\, Jellyfish\, and Matthew Sweet among influences on his original music recorded by his band Rocket Transfer Warehouse.  Deb Sward grew up on classic rock and grunge music. One of her earliest inspirations to pick up guitar was Nancy Wilson of Heart.   \nDeb and Gary met at work and first performed music together in 2011 at an office holiday party. Soon after\, they began playing at a variety of venues –including wineries\, cafes\, private parties\, clubs\, and bars — and eventually struck upon the name “Deb and Gary” for their new alliance. The duo is known for textured vocal harmonies and complementary guitar playing styles\, and audiences have appreciated their unique set lists and musical arrangements. Deb and Gary’s favorite songs to play are ones such as Pink Floyd’s “Brain Damage/Eclipse” that might surprise the audience with something not usually played by an acoustic duo.

DESCRIPTION:Paul’s day job is an airline pilot and about 15 or years ago\, he flew to London with another pilot who brought a guitar. The other pilot said he was sitting in with a pub band later that night on their layover. As soon as he got back from that trip\, he bought a guitar\, started taking lessons\, and the rest is history. For the last three years he has been a part of a local band called TrainWreck. Since then\, he’s gained the confidence to perform as a soloist and as a part of duos and trios. His musical roots are Classic Rock\, Country and Blues but playing with other musicians has expanded his interest into other genres.\n\nLauren is a Singer-Songwriter born and raised in Frederick\, MD\, and was 10 years old when her mom taught her how to play her first guitar chords. She wrote her first song at age 11 for a sixth-grade book report and grew up in concert and marching bands throughout grade school\, playing Alto Saxaphone\, Marimba\, Xylophone\, and other various percussion instruments. She was also active on worship teams as a singer from youth through adulthood. Her guitar playing grew during COVID when two friends asked her if she could show them a few things. After 2 years of weekly get togethers\, Lauren started performing at open mics in late 2022 and has been blessed to be a part of the gig scene ever since. She plays a variety of covers and classic hits and enjoys writing songs with musical influence inspired by folk\, americana\, and as of late blues and jazz.\n\nLauren and Paul have been a duo for over two years playing mostly Maryland and a bit in Virginia.  They also have their own solo routines and play in different bands.  They share a love of acoustic classic rock\, country\, folk\, pop\, and ‘90’s.  Something for everyone!
