DESCRIPTION:ABOUT GRUBBING HARD BBQ: \n“Pitmaster and GHB owner Matt Chanin is a local Olney native and Sherwood High School graduate. When COVID struck Matt lost his day job at a law firm and quickly went from pushing paper to pursuing his true passion for food and hospitality. On almost every Saturday in 2020\, lines of cars would wait outside Matt’s parent’s house for their scheduled curbside pickup and dose of Texas-inspired barbecue. Matt’s “Grubbing Hard” instagram account quickly blew up within the local community and GHB would transform from a hobby to a legitimate food truck and catering business.” \nMATT’S THOUGHTS: \n“In early 2021 when I learned that they (Lone Oak) were building a brewery right next to my neighborhood\, I saw a perfect opportunity. I reached out to the owners and asked if I could come introduce myself and bring them a tray of bbq. The rest is history!” \n“Being from Olney I especially enjoy working with Lone Oak because of all the familiar faces we see every visit. We try to focus on the hospitality aspect as much as the food itself\, so it’s particularly fulfilling for me to see friends and neighbors supporting local businesses – and more importantly – enjoying our Que! I don’t think any food pairs better with a cold beer on a sunny day than our barbecue.” \n“My favorite food to serve 100% is our brisket. It’s one of those foods you can’t get at many places so I knew if ours was good we’d be able stand out. The brisket cooking process can take up to 18 hours and requires a lot of attention to detail\, so it’s rewarding when people recognize and appreciate the craft behind our work. It’s the best feeling when people tell us that our brisket is the best they’ve ever had. We want every bite to be the best”.

Selena graduated from Clarksburg High School and holds a masters degree in public policy from the University of Maryland. Selena has been performing since she was a little kid. Selena sang in choir throughout her youth and performed in several musicals. At the University of Maryland\, Selena was a singer and arranger in one of the university’s premier a cappella groups. Her favorite bands are Third Eye Blind\, The 1975\, Fleetwood Mac\, and Taylor Swift.\n\nDave Weber\nDave Weber is experienced guitarist\, multi-instrumentalist\, singer\, audio engineer\, and music producer. Dave graduated from Wootton High School and holds a bachelors degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. He performs at area venues well over a hundred times a year. Growing up\, Dave’s favorite music genres were progressive rock and jazz/rock fusion. Today\, Dave loves all types of music. There is nothing Dave enjoys more in music than singing harmony with excellent female singers such as Selena. Dave has lived in Montgomery County nearly his whole and loves being a part of the local music scene.
