DESCRIPTION:Lauren Sumner grew up in Germantown\, MD. She now lives in Damascus training horses and teaching horseback riding out of her own ‘Crossfire Farm.\nLauren got into music at a young age. It began with imitating the singers she would hear from her mom’s Blues collection. It was here she discovered her natural ability to sing!\nJohn Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughan are her biggest influences. \nBryan Wolf grew up in Brookeville\, MD.\nHis passion for listening to music started when he was young with the Backstreet Boys and radio country.\nBryan was quick to pick up a guitar at 13 years old once he started listening to the rock of the ’60s and 70’s once introduced to Led Zeppelin\, Pink Floyd\, and AC DC.\nBryan’s biggest influences are Father John Misty and the Beatles. \nBeing local TO US means contributing to and supporting the community that helped raise and support us. It means seeing familiar faces at our gigs around town and running into people we haven’t seen for years but feel like we’ve never lost touch with.

When COVID struck Matt lost his day job at a law firm and quickly went from pushing paper to pursuing his true passion for food and hospitality. On almost every Saturday in 2020\, lines of cars would wait outside Matt’s parent’s house for their scheduled curbside pickup and dose of Texas-inspired barbecue. Matt’s “Grubbing Hard” instagram account quickly blew up within the local community and GHB would transform from a hobby to a legitimate food truck and catering business.” \nMATT’S THOUGHTS: \n“In early 2021 when I learned that they (Lone Oak) were building a brewery right next to my neighborhood\, I saw a perfect opportunity. I reached out to the owners and asked if I could come introduce myself and bring them a tray of bbq. The rest is history!” \n“Being from Olney I especially enjoy working with Lone Oak because of all the familiar faces we see every visit. We try to focus on the hospitality aspect as much as the food itself\, so it’s particularly fulfilling for me to see friends and neighbors supporting local businesses – and more importantly – enjoying our Que! I don’t think any food pairs better with a cold beer on a sunny day than our barbecue.” \n“My favorite food to serve 100% is our brisket. It’s one of those foods you can’t get at many places so I knew if ours was good we’d be able stand out. The brisket cooking process can take up to 18 hours and requires a lot of attention to detail\, so it’s rewarding when people recognize and appreciate the craft behind our work. It’s the best feeling when people tell us that our brisket is the best they’ve ever had. We want every bite to be the best”.

SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC - JIM KELLY
DESCRIPTION:Originally I’m from Frederick\, MD. I grew up right outside of town\, always being exposed to the plethora of local artists and happenings there. Music runs in my family. My uncle gave me a drum set during the summer after 4th grade. I loved it but my parents didn’t care much for the noise. So in 6th grade\, I got my first electric guitar. Family parties quickly turned into full-on stage productions with the whole family running through the gamut of hits from all the greats like The Beatles\, Tom Petty\, Rolling Stones\, Steve Miller Band\, Bob Marley\, and on and on. I’ve been focusing mostly on acoustic music for the last seven years or so\, blending my own mix of rock\, reggae\, psychedelic bluegrass\, and beyond. My favorite song to play has to be Cleaning Windows\, by Van Morrison. As a local\, I feel a weight of responsibility to help keep MD’s live music scene alive\, vibrant\, and thriving!

Hailing from such bands as Uncle Chunky\, Jr. Cline and The Recliners\, Doctors’ Orders and Nayas\, harmony and groove are at the heart every show! \nOur parents were national and international recording artists in the 1970s and were signed to major labels\, ABC and Warner Brothers records respectively. \nGrowing up in Takoma Park MD has had huge impact on our sound! We use lots of DCs own GO GO infused with other local genres in our sound.
