MR VCR has been a staple of the Annapolis bar scene for many years. Known for their dynamic
and energetic shows as a full band, MR VCR has been making waves in the tri-state area in
support of their newly released debut album. Soren Mattson and Tucker Hinkel’s duo
performance is a stripped-down version of the live show. Self-described collage rockers, Soren
and Tucker pride themselves on providing engaging original music and eclectic and
unconventional cover songs. Never performing the same show twice, MR VCR values taking
risks over the monotony of sameness most bar bands fall prey to. Their influences are varied
and numerous, but some worthy mentions include David Bowie, Little Feat, They Might Be
Giants, Paul Simon, Black Sabbath, Warren Zevon, Presidents of the United States of America,
and Prince, among others. Their original music can be heard on WTMD, Towson MD’s premier
