Olivia Corcoran is a Maryland native, born and raised minutes down the road from Lone Oak Farm. She began playing the bagpipes at the age of 8, when she was inspired by young pipers at a the Anne Arundel Scottish Festival. In 2009, she joined the Rockville High School Pipe Band, and became Pipe Major of the band in 2015. Olivia is now an instructor for the band, which has since evolved into the Maryland Youth Pipe Band.

Olivia currently plays and competes with the MacMillan Pipe Band, one of the top competitive pipe bands in North America, based in the DC area. With her band, she has traveled around the US, to Canada, and to Scotland to perform and compete. This August, she and her band are traveling to Glasgow to compete in the World Piping Championships. She has played a variety of events, from car shows and retirement parties, to boy scout celebrations and weddings. She is always looking for opportunities to perform, and is grateful to Lone Oak for allowing her to play for St. Pat’s!
