Live Music – Emily Simonian
February 23, 2025 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Emily Simonian is an acoustic pop singer-songwriter, published author, and musical theatre composer, lyricist, and librettist. Raised on a steady diet of 90’s pop, Beatles, Disney movies and classic musicals, she earned a merit-based scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music, and finished her degree at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, earning a B.F.A. in Contemporary Music. Her vocal style and music have been compared to Sara Barielles with a touch of Amy Winehouse. Emily has penned two acoustic pop EPs, her compositions have been selected for the Musical Theatre Educator Alliance’s Catalog for New Works, and as a vocalist of Armenian descent, Simonian is a recipient of the Cultural Achievement Award with the state of California. Simonian has also been honored with multiple grants and visionary sponsorships from benefactors who believe in her artistic vision, supporting her latest musical theatre project, When Two of Us Meet, which early reviewers in the theatre community have hailed as ‘a Broadway-worthy stage musical.’ When she isn’t writing or performing, Emily and her husband, Jake, maintain strong ties to Simonian’s home state of California, frequently spending time there with family and friends.
